About Us
A two-generation photography archive. From a small village in North Wales to the Australian coast.
Where it started
We're both from Froncysyllte, a village of a few hundred people on the Welsh–English border, best known for the UNESCO-listed Pontcysyllte Aqueduct that runs above the River Dee.
Neither of us spends much time there now. John — the father — has worked across the Middle East for most of his career. Rhys — the son — emigrated to Sydney in 2019. The photographs on this site are what came back from those two vantage points: the Middle East and Europe on one half, the Australian coast on the other, forty years apart.

John Wyles
John has carried a camera for over forty years. A career in civil, oil & gas, and energy engineering has taken him across the Middle East — long postings in Qatar and Dubai — and much of his archive comes from the edges of those jobs: coastlines, desert interiors, and the long way home through Europe.
Landscape, weather, light — across decades of postings and travel. With retirement close, he and his wife Sue have bought a campervan. Expect the Welsh Countryside, the Scottish west coast, and slower roads through Britain and Europe to start appearing here.

Rhys Wyles
Rhys grew up in the same village, then emigrated to Sydney in 2019. Photography turned serious after a drone arrived for his 30th birthday in 2021. He photographs the Australian coast.
The early work is Bondi and the Eastern Suburbs, from years of living there. More recent frames are from the Sutherland Shire — the headlands, beaches, and bushland south of the city — since moving down the coast.
How we work
Process
The photographs
Captured in the field over days and weeks — from the ground, from the water, and from the air. Every image starts as a RAW file and is edited to stay true to the light and colour of the moment, not to push it.
The prints
Printed to order on premium lustre 240gsm — a satin photo paper that holds detail and colour without the glare of full gloss. Pigment inks via 12-colour giclée, archival rated. Shipped unframed in a protective tube so you can choose your own framer. Full specifications →
Delivery
Every print is produced at the Prodigi lab closest to your delivery address — Australian customers receive Australian-fulfilled prints in 3–5 business days, with most international destinations arriving in 3–10.
