Travelling down to South Wales to catch up with some friends, we figured a detour to the Elidir trail in Glynneath was in order. It’s one of those places that just keeps giving, with water everywhere. We were wandering along the path, enjoying the quiet, when this particular spot caught my eye. The way the river just tumbles over those rocky steps, all framed by the ferns and that deep green woodland, it was pretty hard to ignore. Not exactly a grand, thundering waterfall, but the light was just right, making all those little cascades stand out. Worth the stop, even if it meant delaying lunch a bit.
