Living and working in Dubai for a couple of years, you quickly get used to a city that genuinely never sleeps. This particular shot, taken right from my balcony, was a pretty regular sight, but always a good one. There's something about all those lights that makes the endless concrete, steel, and asphalt jungle look a bit more... agreeable, even pleasant, than it does by day. Caught this one with the Burj Khalifa doing its usual towering thing, a delicate crescent moon hanging around above it. Ended up going monochrome for this one; just felt like it suited the quiet grandeur of the scene as the city hummed below, a constant, low thrum of activity.
