Turns out, getting a decent shot of the Llyn Padarn lonely tree took a bit more effort than I first thought. I'd been through Snowdonia before and spotted it, but the lake level was pretty high then, flooding the area around the base and making it impossible to get the shot I had in mind. It was one of those ones that just sticks with you, though, so I figured I had to come back and try again. Ended up back there a while later, and the water had receded enough. The sky was doing its usual cloudy thing, which suited the mood of the place, really. Just that one bare tree, standing out there in the lake, looking a bit like it was waiting for something.
