Living in Dubai, you get used to some pretty wild views, but this one from my apartment lounge and balcony was always a favourite. Spent a fair bit of time out there, day and night, just watching the city do its thing, camera usually close by. You end up with so many pictures when something like that is right in front of you, but this shot of the Dubai skyline at night, with the Burj Khalifa just piercing through all those lights, always stuck with me. There’s something about that cluster of brilliantly lit skyscrapers, all buzzing away, that just makes for a decent urban landscape. Caught it on one of those clear evenings, everything just sparkling, and it just felt like the right moment to hit the shutter.
