Lived and worked in Dubai for a couple of years, and it's certainly a city that never sleeps, which you feel pretty acutely when it's just outside your window. This particular view was from my balcony, which was pretty handy for catching these sorts of shots without much fuss. Always found the city night lights actually make the whole concrete, steel, and asphalt jungle a bit more palatable, almost pleasant even, especially after a long day. Caught this one with the Burj Khalifa doing its usual towering thing, illuminated against the dark, and a delicate crescent moon just hanging out, adding a bit of serenity to the chaos.
