How to frame your print

Our prints ship unframed in a protective tube on premium 240gsm lustre photo paper — satin finish, archival pigment inks. We recommend a 2.5cm white archival mat, acid-free backing, and UV-filtering glazing.

Your local framer can replicate the look in the wall preview above. Typical frame and matting cost is A$120–A$200 depending on size.

We started our Scotland roadtrip with a few nights on Mull, using Tobermory as our base. From there, we spent our days exploring the island, driving some of those single-track roads you get up there, which always makes for an interesting journey. One afternoon, we found ourselves in Salen, a pretty quiet spot on the coast. Lying on the shore were these two old wooden shipwrecks, just slowly falling apart piece by piece. They had a real presence about them, all that history and decay just sitting there for anyone to see. I figured the best way to show that sense of age and the texture of the weathered wood was to strip out the colour, so I went for a monochrome shot. It felt right for the mood of the place, a bit melancholic but still pretty compelling.
