Living in Esbjerg for a couple of years, we did our utmost to explore at weekends, and this particular one saw us venturing north in Jutland. We were just driving around, seeing what there was, and ended up at Skjern Enge. It’s a pretty expansive spot, and we found ourselves by Hestolm Lake. The sky was doing its usual cloudy thing, which actually made for some decent reflections on the water. I was just watching the reeds when this flock of birds decided to put on a show, flying right over the lake. Sometimes you just get lucky with the timing.
