How to frame your print

Our prints ship unframed in a protective tube on premium 240gsm lustre photo paper — satin finish, archival pigment inks. We recommend a 2.5cm white archival mat, acid-free backing, and UV-filtering glazing.

Your local framer can replicate the look in the wall preview above. Typical frame and matting cost is A$120–A$200 depending on size.

Passing through Snowdonia, I’ve driven past the old Dinorwic slate quarry more times than I can count. It’s always been one of those spots you see from the road, promising a view, but I never actually stopped. This trip though, I finally decided to make the detour. Figured it was about time to take the hike up and see those abandoned barracks properly, get that picture I’d always imagined. The climb up wasn't too bad, even with a bit of a winter chill in the air and the usual Welsh clouds hanging low over the valley. It actually suited the place, gave those old ruins a bit more atmosphere. Standing there amongst them, you get a real sense of the scale of the place. Definitely worth the effort to get off the main road for once.
