Living in Denmark for a couple of years, I’d heard whispers about these fishing boats, the ones they haul right up onto the beach with fixed winches. Always sounded like a bit of a local curiosity, so it went on the mental list for when I ventured further afield. Spent a fair bit of time on forays up North, just seeing what was out there, and eventually stumbled upon them in Jutland. Several small vessels, just sitting there on the wide sandy expanse, looking a bit odd to be out of the water. Ocean in the background, clear blue sky overhead. Caught this one just as the light was doing its thing, a pretty straightforward scene but something you don't see every day, especially not quite like this.
