Loved our time exploring the northern enclave of Oman, especially up on the Strait of Hormuz. Khasab was the spot, and one morning, found myself (and a few others) just outside the hotel, soaking up the cool air as the sun started to rise. That golden light, filtering through the haze, really did something to the landscape — the kind of thing you remember.
