I was out for a wander around Llangollen, hitting up one of my usual spots for a few photos of the castle ruins and those impressive limestone escarpments. It’s a reliable place for a shot, even if the weather isn’t always playing ball. On the way up to Dinas Bran, I spotted a group of school kids making their way along the winding road. Turns out they were on a Duke of Edinburgh expedition, looking pretty determined to conquer the hill. Made for a good bit of context, seeing them trudging towards the old castle. Just added that extra bit of life to the landscape, seeing them against the backdrop of all that history.
