Ticking off a bit of a lifetime ambition, finally got to travel down the Rhine, stopping off at all the usual suspects – castles, vineyards, you know the drill. Bacharach was one of those places that just screamed 'stay a while'. Ended up hanging around for a few days, mostly just trying to figure out the best light and different angles of the old town. Caught this one just as the sun was dipping, painting the whole valley in that warm, golden hour glow. Hard to mess up a shot when the light's doing all the heavy lifting for you, but still, pretty happy with how the ancient architecture and the river looked from up there. Makes you wonder how many sunsets that castle has seen.
