Heading out for a day trip not too far from home, I was on the hunt for waterfalls I honestly couldn't believe I hadn't visited before. Turns out, Llanwrst in Wales has a few surprises up its sleeve, like the Trefriw Fairy Falls. It’s one of those spots you drive past a hundred times, never quite realising what’s tucked away in the forest. Getting up to the falls, it was all mossy rocks and that damp, earthy smell, with the water just tumbling over everything in the gorge below the path. A long exposure was pretty much mandatory to smooth out the cascade and really bring out the green. Sometimes the best finds are right under your nose, just takes a bit of a wander to actually find them.
