Visiting Lord Howe Island for my 30th birthday trip, it pretty quickly shot up the list to become possibly my favourite place. It also happened to be the first time I properly got the drone up in the air, which was a bit of a learning curve, but worth it. The island itself is just something else, with a landscape that’s genuinely spectacular and water that was always ridiculously clear, no matter where you looked. This particular jetty, stretching out into that vibrant turquoise, always made for some decent shots from above, especially with the hills in the background. Hard to beat a view like that.
