I was in Cheshire and had heard a bit about Alderley Edge, but honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect from the place. Turns out it's a pretty decent walk through the woods, with a good spot to look out over the plains below. We were just making our way back when I spotted this tree. It was properly ancient, all gnarled and twisted, with these huge branches reaching out like something out of a storybook. Definitely an unusual sight in the woodland, so I stopped to get a shot of it. Not what I went looking for, but sometimes those are the best finds.
