How to frame your print

Our prints ship unframed in a protective tube on premium 240gsm lustre photo paper — satin finish, archival pigment inks. We recommend a 2.5cm white archival mat, acid-free backing, and UV-filtering glazing.

We took an anti-clockwise tour of Iceland’s tourist sites, which eventually brought us to Gullfoss on the Hvítá River. The canyon was covered in snow, and the sky had settled into the sort of overcast grey that doesn’t offer much help with dramatic light. Still, the river had plenty going on without it, dropping through the gorge in a series of falls. I spent a bit of time watching how the water cut through all that white, then made a few photos before moving on. Winter does a good job of simplifying the scene: snow on the canyon, dark water below, and not much else competing for attention. No need to wait around for a sunset here.
