On our north-east England road trip, we figured a boat tour out to the Farne Islands would be a good shout. It was a bit grey and cloudy out there, which honestly just felt right for the Northumberland coast, but it gave everything a certain mood. From the boat, looking back towards the mainland, we got a cracking view of Bamburgh Castle. It was just sitting there on its distant dune-covered beach, looking like something out of a storybook even under a bit of a dreary sky. This was taken as we were cruising along, with the rocky coastline framing it all nicely. You don't often get to see it from this angle.
