We were on a multi-centre family holiday in Croatia, which meant a fair bit of moving around, but Hvar island was definitely a highlight. One morning, we figured we'd get a walk in up to the old castle above the town, mostly to avoid the real heat of the day kicking in. On the way up, just past a bend in the rocky path, we passed this historic stone church. It was just sitting there, quiet among the trees, with that classic clear blue Hvar sky overhead. Seemed like a good spot to pause for a moment and grab a quick photo before tackling the rest of the climb.
