We were on our way up to the Kylesku Bridge, heading for a proper look, when we ended up stopping off at Ardvreck Castle. It's just a ruin, really, sitting there on a grassy hill right by a loch in Scotland. One of those spots you just pull over for, even if it wasn't on the itinerary. Caught my wife walking along the path towards it, which gave a bit of scale to the old stones and the landscape. Made for a decent little break before we carried on with the drive.
