This particular shot was another tick on my personal challenge to photograph Dinas Bran Castle from pretty much every angle, through all the seasons and at different times of day. It’s become a bit of a long-term project, getting to know the place. I’d been watching the forecasts, hoping for a bit of drama in the sky over the Llangollen valley, and this evening delivered. I found a spot up on the valley side, a bit of a trek with the gear, but worth it for the view. As the sun started to drop, it lit up the valley and the distant castle ruins in some decent colours, making the whole climb feel like a good decision. You take what you get with Welsh sunsets, and this one was a keeper. 🌅
