I was working on that challenge I set myself, trying to capture our local historic ruin, Dinas Bran Castle, in all seasons and times of day, from as many different viewpoints as I could manage. This particular location had me up above Froncysyllte at a place known as three trees, looking across the valley at the Eglwyseg escarpment. We got lucky with the light, proper golden hour, which really bathed the whole scene in that warm glow. The wooden stile and fence just happened to be there, making for a decent foreground against the hills and ferns as the sun started to dip. Just another tick in the box for the project, seeing how the same landscape shifts with the light and the time of year.
