Heading north from Bergen on the Norway trip, we were making our way through a fair few fjords, and they really are something. What often stood out were these impressive side valleys, usually with a small village nestled right where they spilled into the main waterway. This particular one, with the autumn colours just starting to really pop on the mountains, caught my attention. The light was doing some good work, hitting the valley just so and adding a nice bit of depth to the scene, which always makes for a better photo. It felt like a pretty calm spot, especially from the deck of the cruise ship, just watching it all go by.
