Ended up at Maroubra for a quick visit over the weekend, mainly hoping to catch some of that early evening light. The plan was just to get a feel for the place, maybe some general beach scenes, soak up a bit of the coastal vibe. Turns out the ocean was looking pretty good, that clear blue you get off Sydney, with the rocky headland doing its thing in the background. Spotted this surfer just as they picked up a decent wave, right there in front of the cliffs, making the most of the last good light. Managed to get the shot before things went completely flat, not bad for a quick stop.
