How to frame your print

Our prints ship unframed in a protective tube on premium 240gsm lustre photo paper — satin finish, archival pigment inks. We recommend a 2.5cm white archival mat, acid-free backing, and UV-filtering glazing.

Your local framer can replicate the look in the wall preview above. Typical frame and matting cost is A$120–A$200 depending on size.

Waiting for our boat to Staffa, we found ourselves with a bit of time to kill around the harbour on Mull. It wasn't exactly a day for postcard-perfect vistas, more the kind of grey, atmospheric weather that Scotland does so well. But those are often the conditions where the details really pop. I spotted this old boathouse, looking like it had seen a fair few seasons, with all the fishing cages stacked up in the foreground. The flat light, almost monochrome already, felt right for stripping things back completely to black and white. It really brought out the textures of the weathered wood and the tangled nets, giving you a sense of the place and the work that goes on there, even when the boats are tied up.
