On a roadtrip around Scotland, we started at the Isle of Mull, figuring it was a good place to ease into things. Expected the usual Scottish weather, but even by those standards, Mull delivered a proper moody welcome. We ended up down at Croggin Pier, tucked away on the coast, with the clouds really putting on a show. The sky was dramatic, all heavy clouds and a bit of mist hanging around the mountains in the distance, making the water look pretty dark and still. It wasn't exactly postcard blue skies, but sometimes those dramatic conditions make for a better photo anyway, giving the whole scene a bit more character. Just stood there for a bit, taking it all in before grabbing the camera.
