We were staying with friends down at South Cerney Lakes for a few days, and figured we should make the most of being in the area. So, one morning, we decided to pop over to Bibury. Got up before the sun, mostly to beat the crowds, which, in the Cotswolds, can get a bit much later in the day. Arlington Row was pretty quiet then, just the early light starting to warm up those old stone cottages, making the whole place feel a bit like stepping back in time. It’s one of those spots you see everywhere, but it’s a different vibe when you’ve got it mostly to yourself. Worth the early alarm, even if it meant a strong coffee afterwards.
