With some unexpected downtime from the day job, we ended up heading North-East, finally getting that trip in. We'd managed to squeeze in a last-minute run up to Northumberland, and found ourselves in Alnmouth as the tide went out. Turns out the weather had other plans for us that morning, rolling in a thick fog that pretty much swallowed the background. Not exactly the clear vistas you might hope for, but it did make for a different kind of moody shot. Down on the muddy estuary ground, the boats were just sitting there, beached and looking a bit forlorn in the mist. Sometimes you just work with what you get, eh?
