Starting our roadtrip around Scotland on the Isle of Mull seemed like a pretty logical first stop. The weather, as you might expect for the west coast, was classic overcast, with a good bit of mist hanging low over the hills in the distance. We ended up at Croggan pier, and this small boat, just sitting there, quietly bobbing, really caught my attention. It wasn't the kind of bright, sunny day you sometimes hope for, but I find those moody conditions often just work out better for a photo. It gave the whole scene a certain atmosphere, made it feel a bit more authentically Scottish, I suppose.
